| The shipping activities of the Harmstorf family go back to the nineteenth century. The majority of the fleet after 1954, was built at the then Harmstorf owned shipyards - Schlichting-Werft, Lübeck-Travemünde, Büsumer Werft and Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft, It was company tradition until 1996 to name all vessels after sandbanks in the rivers Elbe and Weser. | ||||
